Scholarizer https://www.facebook.com/Scholarizer - Everyday a new educational institution crops up in some or the other part of India, crowding our already expanding map of colleges and universities. Today we have 789 universities, 37,204 colleges and 11,443 stand-alone institutes in India as per UGC report. Despite the growth in the number of colleges and universities, the enrolment rate in them is not very encouraging.
There could be a number of reasons behind the low enrolment of students in colleges despite the availability of seats. One of these reasons could be students' preference for salary-earning jobs instead of fee-paying colleges. It would not be wrong to say that most of these students' financial condition at home does not allow them the luxury of pursuing higher education.
To cure this problem and draw more students towards colleges, our government and several private entities are working to provide national scholarships for college students. These scholarships cater to different needs of students to ensure that for those pursuing higher studies, lack of financial support never becomes an issue.
With this vision in mind, different websites like Scholarizer.com provide information on national scholarships for college students so that there is ample information available at a student's disposal. Let's take a look at such scholarships.
